To have one’s face melt off is a rite of passage in the rave scene. Often associated with a pharmaceutically-enhanced state of euphoria that coincides with a beat drop, it is generally considered a good thing — somewhere resting in-between a “cum face” and that wicked foot cramp you get while in bed.

The best face melting off of all-time happened this February at Wobbleland 2017 in San Jose.
The story does have a happy ending as the raver girl’s face didn’t actually melt off and the promoter who posted the video online offered her a lifetime of free admission to his events for allowing him to share it with the world.
