The line-up for this year’s Ottawa Bluefest is out, and it’s a mixed bag of musicians and musical performers. Here are the top 10 acts to check out at Ottawa Bluesfest.
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers- The iconic band is embarking on a 40th Anniversary Tour, and in addition to a stop in Ottawa they’ll be traveling from coast to coast in the US, including stops in Toronto and Vancouver.
Muse- The band is currently on a North American tour, with special guests Thirty Seconds to Mars & PVRIS.
P!nk- OK, so not so blues-y, but an incredible addition to the line-up nonetheless. She hasn’t released an albumsince 2012’s The Truth About Love, but she’s been contributing songs to shows and movies, like the Netflix series Beat Bugs and the flick Alice Through The Looking Glass.
LCD Soundsystem- Releasing a single in December 2015 for the first time in five years, the band announced plans for a new album, scheduled to come out later this year.
Flume- Putting out Skin, his second studio album, in May 2016, Australian electronic musician Flume will be taking to the stage at Ottawa Bluefest.
Toby Keith- Selling more than 40 million albums worldwide, Toby Keith released his first album in 1993, releasing a total of 18 studio albums.
50 Cent- Another surprise for this year’s Bluesfest, 50 Cent has amassed a Grammy Award, 13 Billboard Music Awards, six World Music Awards, three American Music Awards and four BET Awards. He’ll be performing on July 8th.
Jake Owen- American country music singer and songwriter Jake Owen put out his fifth studio album American Love last July.
Justin Moore- Justin Moore has released four studio albums, the most recent being 2016’s Kinda Don’t Care.
Fetty Wap- American rapper Fetty Wap’s debut album came out in 2015. He will perform at Ottawa Bluefest on July 11th.
