While we know that Andre the Giant is one of the most successful drunks in history, he of course is known for being a legendary wrestler for the WWE. And you can say the same thing about “Macho Man” Randy Savage. But as much as this two feuded on television, they actually hated each other in real life, and the reason why is pretty hilarious.
According to Savage’s brother Lanny Poffo, the reason the two wrestling legends hated each other was for the most bizarre, and most hilarious reason: baby oil. Here’s what Poffo told the Tampa Bay Times.
“Andre hated baby oil. But Randy wouldn’t stop wearing it. He stubbornly said Andre’s gimmick is being a giant and mine is baby oil. He never backed down from Andre and they never got along because of it.”
This is actually pretty damn hilarious. Poor Andre got pissed off at that shiny and slippery Savage.
But according to Andre’s daughter Robin, there was also another reason Andre was not a big fan of Savage. Andre was totally against steroids, and Savage couldn’t get enough of them.
“He had no tolerance,” Robin states. And it seems that once Savage was busted using steroids Andre wasn’t a fan of him anymore.
