Everyone will tell you that they love reggae, yet most people don’t know their Ziggy Marley from their Damian Marley to their Stephen Marley.
It’s still largely an underground genre which is a shame because the reggae scene is thriving with tons of talent such as Stick Figure. Started as a one-man band project by Scott Woodruff in Massachusetts, the reggae outfit has evolved into a touring tour-de-four-piece.

Crave is exclusively premiering Stick Figure’s new music video for “Weary Eyes” off their Set In Stone album (listen to the Spotify stream below). Known for their feel good grooves and positive vibes tunes that are sprinkled with Bohdi-like (from Point Break) philosophies, Stick Figure isn’t reinventing the genre, but carving a solid niche with diehard fans who allow them to do what they love to do.
Taking inspiration from those viral “One Second A-Day” videos, the melancholy song is a realistic look at a breakup and was shot in over 50 locations (starting in Costa Rica, going coast to coast in the States before ending in Mexico).
Here’s what Woodruff had to say about the song and video, “‘Weary Eyes is a song about letting life unfold naturally. We spend so much time worrying about the future or dwelling on the past that we forget to live in the present. The theme of the lyrics are about being mindful and that how we perceive what we experience determines our fate. The dark times are put in place for us to appreciate the good ones. Life unfolds in the present, so enjoy each moment and look for the positive in everything.”
