Remember not long ago when the idea of Donald Trump as our President was so absurd that it took a guy interviewing his supporters using a ridiculously long boompole to turn the insanity levels up a notch. Ah, those were the days, huh? But thanks to over half of the U.S. population, that very same man — comedian Luke Mones, to be exact — in needed for much different reasons. Comic relief, mostly.
There have been numerous attempts to soften the blow of a blowhard being the leader of the free world — half an onion in a bag attempting to round up more followers than our Commander in Chief being chief among them — and Mones is no different. Well, other than the fact that he instead chooses to let Trump supporters speak for themselves (albeit, from an unreasonable distance). His most recent video from ground zero of the 2017 Presidential Inauguration in Washington D.C. really lets you get a feel for the crowd that showed up last week. Or lack thereof.
With people spouting off statements like, “This is what we all went to war for,” its clear that we are in for a terrifying four years. On the plus side, at least Boompole Guy will be here to soften the blow every step of the way.
