There are plenty of reasons not to snowboard down a city street. In fact, I’d put it on my “do not do” list somewhere between throwing a rock at a grizzly bear and jamming a foreign object up my peehole.
For starters, falling on asphalt blows. Although you’ll thankfully walk away with a scar that will remind you on a daily basis to think before doing something stupid like that again. Plus, there are so many obstacles that you have to be on the lookout for to ensure a successful run. Things like people, raised sewer manholes and cars can be quite the hindrance, especially if those cars are moving.
But I mean, what are the odds of that?
Well, John Adams of Quebec City would tell you that they’re pretty good, actually.
Canadian Guy Thinks Snowboarding Down City Street Is Good Idea, Probably Thinks Otherwise After Getting Smoked By Car
And boom goes the dynamite.
You have to love how everybody involved thought it was just the coolest idea ever until the moment they realized they totally dropped the ball about the possibility of a car cruising through the intersection.
Adams surprisingly walked away from the accident without any serious injuries, although you have to think his ego is a little more than severely bruised at this point.
