10 Amazing Women You Should Follow on Instagram in 2017

As we head into 2017, it’s time to start thinking about our New Year’s Resolutions that we definitely won’t stick to. Whereas most will opt for the nigh-on impossible options of “stop eating terrible food,” “stop drinking so much alcohol” and “stop ringing Karen whenever I stumble home at 4am and cry into her voicemail about how much I miss her,” a much easier option is simply following more awesome and really good-looking women on the internet and improving your life slightly as a result.

We’ve already provided a rundown of the best women you can follow on YouTube, so now we’re casting our roving eye over to Instagram and the abundance of amazing women that share their photos with millions upon millions of followers every day. Here are our top 10 that you should be following as we head into the New Year:

Emily Skye

“Fitspo” has been on the rise in the past two years, with peak physical fitness overtaking skinniness in popularity on Instagram, as more and more women share images of their hard-earned muscular bodies. Emily Skye is at the forefront of this movement, with the founder of F.I.T. (Fitness Inspiration Transformation) providing workout tips straight from her exercise and healthy eating company to her 1.8 million followers. She also posts plenty of selfies to boot, which is never a bad thing.

Adrianne Ho

Adrianne Ho is a model-turned-entrepreneur, with the Toronto-born beauty having channeled her love of fashion and healthy living into Sweat The Style, a brand that has seen her become a hot commodity in the world of street wear. Adrianne’s Instagram is a collage of photos highlighting her strong fashion sense, her model good looks and her just chilling out in a variety of idyllic locations. That’s pretty much all you need from an Instagram account.

Char

Char is one of the most uniquely stylish women on Instagram, so her comparatively small following of 81,000 is borderline criminal. Having previously been told that she would “never make it” as a model due to her curvy 5’3″ figure, Char has since worked alongside the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Drake and The Game, building up an impressive résumé that is only set to improve in the New Year.

Pia Muehlenbeck

Pia Muehlenbeck is so good at Instagram that we’ve featured her before on Crave, but over the course of this year she’s amassed hundreds of thousands of new fans to settle the year with a very respectable following of 1.6 million. A qualified lawyer, the German-born Muehlenbeck now resides in Sydney, Australia, where she spends her time taking numerous photos of her relaxing in bikinis on the best looking beaches in the world.

Barbara Palvin

4.7 million people follow Barbara Palvin on Iceland. That’s roughly the same size of the population of Ireland. That’s also an awfully large amount of people to please with your posts, but fortunately the Hungarian model is more than adept at doing so. Having been named Sports Illustrated’s ‘Rookie of the Year’ in 2016, the former Victoria’s Secret model has enjoyed a tremendous year, with her having appeared in a popular commercial for Love Magazine in which she parodied that scene from Basic Instinct, along with becoming the face of Armani’s signature ‘Acqua di Gioia’ fragrance.

Emily Ratajkowski

Emily Ratajkowski has rarely spent her 2016 out of the spotlight, with the majority of the headlines she’s been involved in revolving around her incredibly popular Instagram page. Boasting over 10 million followers, the model may have shot to fame by virtue of Robin Thicke’s NSFW ‘Blurred Lines’ video, but her celebrity status has enjoyed more longevity than the singer’s as she continues on her venture to become the most well-known model in the world today.

Yovanna Ventura

Yovanna Ventura’s career had an unlikely kick start back in 2014 when she was romantically linked with Justin Bieber, but while that relationship may have fizzled out she’s managed to steadily build a huge presence on Instagram with a whopping 4.6 million followers, along with appearing on cover shoots for the likes of Maxim.

Sahara Ray

Along with boasting perhaps the coolest name for a human being ever, Sahara Ray also enjoys a pretty sweet life judging by her Instagram account. The daughter of Australian surfing legend Tony Ray, Sahara was raised in California though appears to spend her days travelling the world and promoting her swimwear brand, Sahara Ray Swim.

Anna Nyström

You may think that wearing yoga pants isn’t a talent, but then you probably haven’t seen Anna Nyström’s Instagram account. The Swedish model basically turns the act of wearing that particular item of clothing into an art form, with it taking up the majority of her photos. With 3.5 million followers under her belt (figuratively speaking — yoga pants don’t tend to require belts), it’s clearly working in her favor.

Indyamarie Jean

Pittsburgh model Indyamarie Jean is another woman on this list who shares a passion for fashion, with her having launched her MarieJean Accessories line and exhibiting a keen eye for clothes on her Instagram page. With over 620,000 followers, she looks to have a big year ahead of her.
