In WGN America’s original series, Salem, the witch, Mary Sibley was humanity’s last hope after she brought the Devil to Earth as her own son. But so far, that hope is looking pretty bleak!
Shortly after her own resurrection, Mary foolishly tried to drown her demon child and failed. In response, his minion, the Sentinal trapped Mary’s soul in a bad Google Cardboard experience and stripped her of all her supernatural powers. The Devil decided that being powerless is a fate worse than death for Mary, but he clearly doesn’t know his mother very well. Because Mary is never powerless. And she’s sure to make her son pay for that.
In the meantime, the Devil has bigger problems. Cotton Mather has escaped the control of his wife, Anne Hale. Now, in CraveOnline’s exclusive preview scene from the next episode of Salem, Cotton is on the run for Boston, and the Devil’s allies realize that he may be the one man whom outsiders will follow back to Salem to destroy them all. As they make plans to ensure that Cotton never arrives, the Devil shares a very grave warning with Anne about the consequences of failing him again.
Here’s the extended description of tomorrow night’s episode from WGN America:
In “Night’s Black Agents” – written by Brannon Braga & Adam Simon and directed by Joe Dante (Gremlins) – Cotton desperately tries to escape to Boston before Anne or the Boy’s followers track him down. He comes across Tituba, who shows him a vision of his future, ultimately changing his decision to leave. Mary realizes that even without her witch powers, she can still use her femininity to manipulate those around her. Meanwhile, Alden and Billy continue the fight on the outskirts of Salem.
The next episode of Salem season 3 will be broadcast on Wednesday, November 30 at 9:00 pm ET/PT, only on WGN America.
