Yeah, that’s going to leave a mark.
Deer need to chill out. First one goes nuts on a driver of an SUV, and then one enters a cafe and wrecks havoc — deer just are losing their marbles. And here’s another one.
Odds are you missed the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Cross Country Championships in Center Valley, Pennsylvania Saturday afternoon because you were busy doing anything else, but that means you missed Gwynedd Mercy University senior Justin DeLuzio get absolutely annihilated by a spooked deer that was running damn near at full speed.
The deer was part of a herd that was moving so fast that all anyone could do was yell “Deer!” to warn the approaching runners, but at that point, it was already too late for DeLuzio:

Almost as unbelievable as a deer coming out of nowhere and crushing DeLuzio at top speed? You guessed it: The fact that the majority of the runners just kept on running instead of turning around and coming to the aid of their fallen comrade. In the end, only one of his teammates stopped to help him out, and DeLuzio wound up finishing the race with just a couple of bruises and probably at least a partially-soiled pair of running shorts.
