Colin Kaepernick hasn’t played good football in years. But for the past few months he’s been in the news constantly for his political statement during each Star Spangled Banner.
Fast forward to this week and ESPN First Take host Stephen A. Smith went off on the 49ers quarterback after learning he didn’t vote in the election.
In the video below, you’ll see Smith call him “irrelevant” and a “flaming hypocrite,” ending his rant by saying, “For him not to vote, as far as I’m concerned, everything he said meant absolutely nothing.”
The rant begins at :29.
According to USATODAY, Kaepernick said he has no regrets about sitting out the election, saying, “To me, it didn’t really matter who went in there, the system still remains intact that oppresses people of color.”
