Exclusive Premiere | OD on OC’s ARMORS

Orange County has long been a breeding ground for punk and ska bands, but the last great indie rock band has probably been the Cold War Kids

Also: Exclusive Premiere | Elephante Unplugged

ARMORS hope to step out from the Orange Curtain that with an indie pop rock sound that my be unique to the 714, but plays perfectly with fans of Cage the Elephant and Death Cab For Cutie.

Crave is exclusively premiering ARMORS new single, “Overdose.” The streaming friendly single is centered around vocalist Olen Kittelsen, who sounds a bit like Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, but sincere. Guitarist Kody Buxton and synth/keyboardist Sam Beresford provide layered angsty-melodies behind a sing-along chorus that you could totally hear playing at your local H&M.

Here’s what frontman Kittelsen had to say about ARMOR’s latest single, “It’s tough for me to be honest with lyrics, and quite frankly, it’s tough for me to be straightforward off the page as well. But oddly enough, bluntness, and saying exactly what’s on his mind is decidedly Kody’s most endearing trait as a person and as a lyricist. And I think that’s what makes us such a good team. This song came together during a point in my life where I was not okay. And it took my best friends to see that and turn it into something worth singing about.”
