Bravo is debuting a new action-packed drama, Shooter, airing Tuesdays at 10pm and premiering November 15th. It stars Ryan Phillippe and comes from Executive Producer Mark Wahlberg.
Phillipe plays a former Marine sniper Bob Lee Swagger, the iconic hero of the best-selling series of novels by Stephen Hunter.
Based on Stephen Hunter’s Point of Impact, the first book in the Bob Lee Swagger novels, Shooter centres on Swagger (Phillipe), an elite marksman living in exile after retiring from the military. Omar Epps (House) stars as Isaac Johnson, a fellow ex-Marine and Swagger’s former commanding officer, now a Secret Service agent, who draws Swagger back into the fold for a clandestine operation. Shooter also stars Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Spartacus) as FBI agent Nadine Memphis; Shantal VanSanten (The Flash) as Julie Swagger, Bob Lee’s wife; and Eddie McClintock (Bones) as Jack Payne, a shadowy ex-military operative.
In the premiere episode “Point of Impact” (Tuesday, November 15th at 10pm), Bob Lee Swagger is tracked down by his former commanding officer, Isaac Johnson, in order to coax Swagger back into action to protect the President from an assassination plot. Meanwhile, FBI agent Nadine Memphis investigates possible assassin suspects.
