‘The Rock’ Commentates First WWE Wrestling Match 20 Years Ago

For the 20th anniversary of his first WWE wrestling match, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson walked through the highlights of his debut. Even if you’re not a wrestling fan, it’s entertaining as hell to watch.

Not only does The Rock provide great insight on the people he’s facing, the moves being performed and what’s being said under-breath, but his self-depricating reaction to watching himself is priceless.

“I got a f***in Chia Pet on my head as a haircut.”

Here it is in all its glory, a star in the making, November 17, 1996 from Madison Square Garden — “Rocky Maivia” at WWE’s Survivor Series against Crush and Goldust.
