Blake Griffin Threw A Shoe And Accidentally Hit An Opponent In The Face The Other Night

Odds are you missed the Toronto Raptors “battle” the Los Angeles Clippers in a preseason NBA game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles Wednesday night because you were busy doing anything else. And odds are you’ll best recognize the name Cory Joseph from the phrase, “Who in the hell is Cory Joseph?”

Well, it turns out that Joseph is still in the league. In fact, he’s a backup point guard for the Raptors who’ll pull down more than $7 million this year, but you’ll probably remember him from here on out as the guy who got smoked in the face by a shoe that was thrown by Clippers stud Blake Griffin during the second quarter of LA’s 104-98 victory:

The shoe belonged to Griffin’s teammate Jamal Crawford, who continued to ball with just one shoe on until the next whistle. And say what you want about it, but that’s probably the most unique pick you will ever see in a professional basketball game. And an effective one at that.

Although it’s tough to say if this tops the time Justin Bieber got his ass beat after an NBA finals game, or the time a cop was busted checking out a hot girl’s ass live at an NBA finals game, too.

Still, Griffin’s technique left at least one fan beyond baffled following the game:

Blake Griffin is also really good at dunking over cars. Lloyd Hickinson of the Golden Chihuahua Mexican League? Yeah, not so much: Player Attempts To Dunk Over Car, Fails
