The odds have been slashed for Oasis to reunite in 2017, with bookies predicting that Noel and Liam Gallagher will reform their band next year despite the brothers continuing to be at loggerheads with one another.
According to bookmakers Betway, the band’s upcoming documentary Supersonic could inspire the duo to reunite once again, with them having reduced the odds of Oasis returning in 2017 to 5/4. Speaking to NME, Betway’s Alan Alger said: “The betting suggests that 2017 is the most likely year for Oasis to get back together at 5/4. But with the band’s biopic set to be released next month, some might say that our offer of 3/1 for Oasis to reform by the end of this year is good value.”
Despite fans eagerly awaiting the Oasis reunion, Noel and Liam have remained resolute that they will continue their careers away from one another. While Noel has embarked upon a successful career alongside his band the High Flying Birds, Liam received less critical acclaim with Beady Eye, with him eventually splitting from the band and it being announced that he would release a solo album in 2017.
Liam recently spoke out on Twitter regarding Noel’s reported decision to not attend the Supersonic premiere, which is set to take place in Manchester on October 2:
