Five years ago, Tom Welling’s Clark Kent finally became Superman in the final episode of Smallville. However, fans didn’t get to see more than a few seconds of Welling’s Man of Steel in costume before the end. That’s not going to be a problem for The CW’s Supergirl series, which is set to feature former Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent’s heroic alter ego in the second season premiere!
It’s not as if the Supergirl series hasn’t danced around showing Superman before. There were a few ridiculously obscured and off-screen appearances last season. But now that the restrictions are off, The CW is just a few members away from having a full Justice League of its own…Although it will probably not be possible to bring in Batman before Fox is done with Gotham.
On twitter, The CW posted a new Supergirl season 2 trailer that shows a few tantalizing glimpses of the title heroine’s team up with her famous cousin. And according to Kara, she’s been looking forward to it even more than the fans were!
