Somebody call the “fire people!”
Some poor bastard recently dropped $600 on a hoverboard, and it was a huge waste of money because it no longer works. Sadly, it was the victim of the first known hoverboard explosion in Los Angeles.
Delvon Simmons said he hit the streets with his new toy after charging it, but it “went kablooey” just five minutes into his ride.
“If you got this in your house, get it out,” Simmons said in his YouTube video that has been viewed almost 500,000 times in just five days. “People be careful, they (sic) slipping cheap batteries in the boards to meet the demand.”
The good news? You guessed it: At the 1:40 mark, it looks as though a desk chair in fair condition is up for grabs if you’re in the market for one and live in or near Koreatown.
