People Magazine Publishes a Kirk Douglas Obituary Even Though He’s Still Alive

If Kirk Douglas is still available in your celebrity death pool, you might want to pick him up, as being able to read your own obituary on a major publication’s website can’t be a good sign.

According to Uproxx, a writer for People magazine accidentally published the soon-to-be 98-year-old legendary actor’s obituary recently despite the fact it was entitled “DO NOT PUB Kirk Douglas Dies.”

The premature obituary has since been taken down, but for what it’s worth, it had pretty much nothing but the best of things to say about the star of “Spartacus” and “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” noting Douglas was a “superstar before the term was coined.”

We’re not sure if Douglas is a man of omens, but from the looks of it, he might want to avoid going outside on the date “TK TK TK.” It’s also unknown if People has any other obituaries in the hopper for people who still have a pulse, but they might want to think about writing something up on Artie Lange before it’s too late.
