The Detroit Tigers are back, baby. I mean, even the guys selling water and peanuts are making great plays these days.
Less than three weeks after relinquishing their stranglehold on the American League Central Division, the Tigers appear to be in postseason form, most recently completing a three-game sweep of the best team in baseball.
Wednesday’s 9-3 ass-beating of the Athletics was over by the sixth inning, but perhaps the play of the game came in the bottom of the eighth, and it came from a guy making far below the Major League minimum wage.
The best part of the video is watching each fan’s reaction to a line drive being hit in their direction:
For starters, the girl in green on the left trying to make the catch is a badass.
The hot chick in the yellow shirt and blue hat in the bottom left corner is totally unaware that a ball nearly decapitated a guy to her left. Hell, she might not even be aware that she’s at a baseball game.
Meanwhile, the old woman behind the beer vendor is the Rosa Parks of the stadium. She’s not giving up that seat for anybody or anything, not even a ball that would do some pretty serious damage if it hit her.
And the guy in the top middle of the picture needs to turn in his manhood card. That’s ridiculous.
That’s a crazy play, but it’s not as crazy as this one: The Cleveland Indians Turned the Craziest Triple Play Last Night
