If you’re like me, simply watching sports isn’t enough. Sure, I enjoy a good rivalry game or an exciting comeback as much as the next guy, but unless I have a little action on it, it’s not the same. So I enjoy placing a few bets every weekend to make things more interesting. You may say I have a problem; I say I have a solution. These bets are 100 PERCENT GUARANTEED TO MAKE US ALL RICH, and I am willing to share them with you to prove it. Last week was the debut of Gamblin’ With Gary, and I am happy to report my picks went 2-1. This week, I’m upping the ante to four money-making wagers. I’m putting my money where my mouth is. CAN’T LOSE BET #1 (College Football)
Miami (Florida) at Florida St. – UNDER 62.5
Last week I told you to take the under in the Troy game because they had gone over every game leading up to it, and it worked. Well, there is only one college football team left that has played in all over games, and that’s FSU. This total started at 61 and has moved up, so it’s time to hammer the under and watch the Seminoles and Hurricanes beat each other up and keep the score low. Easy money!
CAN’T LOSE BET #2 (College Football)
Wisconsin at Iowa (+9.5) – IOWA +9.5
There is no doubt that Wisconsin is better than Iowa, but they shouldn’t be more than a touchdown favorite on the road. Iowa has had a couple quality wins this season including last week over Northwestern. Wisconsin has beat up some bad teams but has lost twice on the road against good teams (ASU and OSU). I don’t see them losing to Iowa, but I see it being a close, hard-fought Big Ten game. Oh, and the Badgers have not lost against the spread yet this season, so they are due. Take the Hawkeyes and the points, and start spending your money now because it’s a lock.
CAN’T LOSE BET #3 (NFL)
Atlanta (+7.5) at Carolina – ATLANTA +7.5
Cam Newton is really flying high right now, evidenced by all the NFL talking heads man-crushing on him once again.
The Panthers have won three straight and covered the spread in all three, but let me just list who they beat: Vikings, Rams, Buccaneers. Big whoop. This line opened with the super inflated spread of Carolina -9.5, but sharps and the public both jumped on the Falcons, and now it’s down to -7.5. That is still large enough for me to take the Falcons, and I actually think they’ll win outright and send Cam home pouting, which he is very good at.
CAN’T LOSE BET #4 (NFL)
Tampa Bay (+16) at Seattle – TAMPA BAY +16
Now I know what you’re thinking, and it’s that I am a maniac for betting against the Seahawks at home. Maybe I am. Here’s the thing, though — the Bucs are 0-7 and have lost five in a row against the spread, as well, so it seems like Seattle is going to crush them. Any idiot can see that and should bet on Seattle, right? Well let me tell you, I used to be one of those idiots, and I got burned quite often. This is the NFL, and players don’t like losing every single game. The Bucs will play their hearts out, make it a good game (probably still lose), and cover the spread. You can take that to the bank!
