Tinder: the mobile dating app that is unbelievably simple and equally addicting. For those of you that don’t know it, it works like this… basically, you cycle through photos of other users and swipe left if you “don’t like” them and swipe right if you “like” them. Your judging this stranger is anonymous unless you both “like” each other. If that’s the case, then you guys are a “match” and can begin chatting within the app. The degree of its effectiveness is another discussion. Do some people get laid as a result of it? Absolutely. Do others simply stack up their matches and never say a damn word? Ya. Apparently, even the #StarbucksDrakeHands guy and gal actually met on Tinder (not at Starbucks) and still hadn’t met each other when that sultry video went viral.
The whole thing is a little weird and this video spoof from Bad Weather Films does a pretty amazing job of capturing that. The video is an overt take on “The Social Network,” and really captures the (at times) ridiculous nature of Tinder. Enjoy.
