Mark Kozelek is awesome. And his band, The Red House Painters were the ultimate shoegazer, slocore–whatever you want to call it–band of the early ’90s. (And if you really want to nit pick, you can complain that we put this song on the 100 Most Underrated Indie Rock Songs list.)
For some reason, they never broke through into the MTV world, but that just made anyone who found him feel like they were part of a secret club.
