PLTS (pronounced Pilots) are an indie-rock band from Byron Bay that seem prime to follow in the footsteps of fellow rockers from the land down under (ACDC, Silverchair, Tame Impala). With influences from punk to soul, the foursome are ready to take flight with their new single, “Astoria.” The brooding, hard-charging track featuring Kit Bray’s soulful croon, has a Kings of Leon feel that has established them as one of Australia’s new artists to watch.

Crave is exclusively premiering “Astoria’s” music video and asked vocalist Bray about the process behind it:
“The concept behind the clip was to re-create a night out on the town where nothing has gone to plan, and you are spiraling towards making some bad decisions. We wanted to highlight themes present in the lyrics as the lyrical content speaks of a dark frustration and social disconnect, influenced by how I often feel during real life social scenarios such as the ones portrayed in the clip. It’s a personal thing for me, and since our aim for the “Astoria” music video was to reveal a bit more of the band and who we are, I think we’ve totally achieved what we set out to.”
