Keith Olbermann is a legendary broadcaster who has had stints on ESPN, Fox Sports, MSNBC, Current TV, and other outlets over the course of his career. He’s also equally famous for burning his bridges on the way out from each of those gigs. But no one can deny that Olbermann is a talented performer who can back up his arguments.
Olbermann’s latest gig launched today at GQ, and where it was revealed that he will host a web series called The Closer. Each episode will run about six minutes, but the first episode runs over seventeen minutes! In this installment, Olbermann sets his sights on Donald Trump, a man who could very well be our next President. Olvermann doesn’t hold back as he compares Trump to previous threats to American democracy and denounces him as a “demonic messiah in Oompa Loompa’s clothing.”

According to Olbermann, “Every few generations we Americans are called upon to defend our country…To defend it not so much from foreign dictators or war or terrorism, but from those here who have no commitment to progress or Democracy or representative government, no commitment to anything except their own out-of-control minds and the bottomless pits of their egos. We have always thrown them out and now our generation has its own. The most dangerous individual ever nominated by a major party for the highest office in this country.”
Over the course of the episode, Olbermann offered a list of the 176 most outrageous things that Trump has said or done that would have disqualified almost any other candidate for President. Olbermann may not convert any Trump supporters with his video, but it is a pretty telling reminder of what Trump represents.
