The Lonely Island – the band that gave you “I’m On A Boat” and “Dick in a Box” – is back with a new movie, a mockumentary about modern pop stardom called, appropriately enough, Popster: Never Stop Never Stopping. Andy Samberg stars as Conner, a former boy band member turned solo act whose latest career flies completely off the rails because his attitude sucks almost as bad as his songs.
Fans of the film already know how Popstar ends, but they didn’t know how it ALMOST ended. In this exclusive clip from the upcoming home video release, some important characters from the film return to wreak havoc on Conner’s life for one last time, resulting in a sequence that – somewhat ironically – has to be seen to be believed. Andy Samberg is Conner4Real, the breakout star of a popular but disbanded hip-hop group, whose life and career go off the rails just as he launches a highly publicized solo tour.
