Rapid Reviews | Pete’s Dragon Sing-Along

Disney has remade yet another one of their classic family movies: Pete’s Dragon, the story of a little boy whose best friend is a giant, green, furry, mythical beast. The original film was a lively musical but the remake of Pete’s Dragon is a serious fantasy without a single sing-along moment in it. And so we have taken it upon ourselves to fix that.

This week on Rapid Reviews, our film critic William Bibbiani critiques David Loughery’s new version of Pete’s Dragon as a sing-along musical, set to the tune of “I Saw a Dragon” from the original musical version of the story. Is the new Pete’s Dragon worth seeing, despite the absence of catchy ditties? And will Bibbs be able to review a film while sticking to a very strict rhyme structure?

You’ll find out on this week’s episode of Rapid Reviews, and come back every Friday for another sixty second review of new and upcoming films!
