The DC Rebirth may have arrived, but it’s business as usual for Harley Quinn! For this week’s relaunch of DC’s popular antiheroine, the all-star team of Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner, and Chad Hardin are staying together!
This is obviously a big week for Harley Quinn, and DC is making sure that new fans coming in from the Suicide Squad movie have a good jumping on point for the Joker’s former girlfriend. In CraveOnline’s exclusive preview from Harley Quinn # 1, we see that the title character’s origin has been reworked for the modern era. Instead of the “Mad Love” story from the Batman: The Animated Series, Harley has a different story to share about how and why she first encountered the Joker inside the walls of Arkham Asylum. And there are some significant changes to her canon…assuming we can believe what she has to say about her origin. As a great madman once said, “If I’m going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice!”
Also in these pages, Harley and her best gal pal, Poison Ivy share a spa day and some very suggestive interactions which are definitely intentional. It’s also another chance to reestablish Harley’s current status quo, which is far away from the insanity of Gotham City!

Harley Quinn # 1 will be released on Wednesday, August 3 in comic stores everywhere. And you can see Harley on the big screen in Suicide Squad on Friday, August 5!
