‘Rick and Morty’ Co-creator Hilariously Reenacts a Court Exchange

It’s a pretty safe bet that prior to Comic-Con, Rick & Morty fans had no idea who Denver Fenton Allen was. Even now, they may not know his name, but his words have been immortalized by Rick & Morty co-creator Justin Roiland!

At Comic-Con, Roiland unveiled a new animatic video that cast his signature characters Rick and Morty as Allen and Judge J. Bryant Durham, Jr., respectively. Since Roiland voices both characters on the show, he was essentially talking to himself the entire time. However, Allen’s incredibly abusive language and open threats made him seem like an even bigger a** than Rick!

The video was posted by a YouTube user calling themselves Polyglot Platypus, and it’s quickly become very popular online. Fair warning, this footage gets NSFW pretty quickly, as Allen/Rick gets frustrated with the judge and begins threatening to orally violate him and other horrible things. And yet with these voices, it’s still hilarious!

Now, we need to stress this incident really happened last month, in Georgia. You can read the full transcript here, but it’s much funnier to watch the video. We can’t imagine that this will end well for Mr. Allen, but he certainly gave us a lot to laugh about!

As for the third season of Rick & Morty, that’s still expected to run later this year. But it will probably have a hard time topping this exchange!
