Having troubling sleeping? Put down the ZzzQuil and press play on Thom Yorke’s new “Bedtime Mix.” Debuting on Phil Taggart’s Sunday night program on BBC Radio 1, the Radiohead frontman’s 30-minute sleep aid starts off with an intro from a familiar robotic voice that conjures up memories of “Fitter Happier” from OK Computer. The ambient mixtape feels like you’re floating in a cosmic bed of glow-in-the-dark ceiling stars, which is actually not that similar to Radiohead’s latest album A Moon Shaped Pool. Keep your eyelids open until the midway point in the mix when Yorke’s brilliant live version of “Bloom (watch it here),” which he performed solo for a Pathway to Paris concert last year, comes on. Trust me, it’s well worth staying up a little longer. Radiohead returns to the states this week with a headlining performance at Lollapalooza, July 28-31 at Grant Park in Chicago.
