Pokemon Go Now Available In Canada

What? You want to play Pokemon Go? Well, you could… for about an hour after they made the announcement on Sunday that it was available in Canada. And then the servers crashed.

Pokemon Go, which is already being played (quite aggressively) in the US, Australia and parts of Asia, as well as more than 25 European countries, allows users to “find” Pokemon characters, capture them, and train them for their own “team.” It has led superfans to scour all corners of the globe (practically), including areas that were private property and banned from public access, leading to several arrests.

After the servers crashed on the Canadian side of things this weekend, they posted the following message: “Our servers are humbled by your incredible response. We are working to resolve the issue. Please try again soon!”

Pokemon, a Japanese franchise, has been around for two decades. It’s available for download for iPhone and Android users.
