Things are about to go splat in the night in Elk Grove! And the Starz original series, Ash vs. Evil Dead will be back in action later this year!
The series serves as a loose continuation of the Evil Dead films, but all you really need to know is that Bruce Campbell is reprising his role as Ash Williams once again so he can do what he does best: kick undead ass and engage in a little supernatural slapstick.
Although last season offered Ash, Pablo (Simon Bolivar), and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) a new start in Jacksonville, the trio will soon be drawn to Ash’s hometown of Elk Grove, where they will be forced to team up with Lucy Lawless’ Ruby against a brand new threat. Considering that Ruby has the Necronomicon, it would have to be something very serious to convince her to seek out Ash again.
Ahead of the San Diego Comic-Con, Starz has released a brief teaser trailer for the new season of the series which tells us almost nothing about what’s happening. But it is a pretty hilarious glimpse at the bloodbath to come, including a sequence in which Ash is bitten by an evil intestine. Yes, you read that correctly.

The trailer reveals that Ash vs. Evil Dead season 2 will premiere in October on Starz. Among the new faces joining the cast this season are Lee Majors as Ash’s dad, Ted Raimi as Ash’s best friend, Chet; and Michelle Hurd as Ash’s high school girlfriend.
