For most of her existence as DC Comics’ most prominent superheroine, Wonder Woman wore a costume that resembled a one piece swimsuit. That costume became such an iconic look for Wonder Woman that it was considered controversial when Wonder Woman was given costumes that had pants!
Wonder Woman’s latest costume change will occur in June with the release of Wonder Woman # 41. And it’s likely to cause some controversy of its own. Hitfix’s Harpy subsite had the first look at the new costume, which you can see below.
This new costume has perhaps the least exposed flesh that Wonder Woman has ever had in a costume. It appears that Wonder Woman is wearing a costume under her armor. But the oddest part of her new outfit are the wrist blades.

DC also unveiled the solicit text for Wonder Woman # 41: “A daring new direction begins with the arrival of a brand-new villain! But while he may be new to us, he’s not new to the world he seeks to tame. And speaking of villains, Donna Troy’s quest to destroy Wonder Woman ratchets up another gear (if that’s even possible!), while the games of the Gods bring dark portents to the ultimate Amazon!”
Meredith and David Finch continue their run with Wonder Woman # 41, which will be released on June 17.
