Let’s hope he leaves Tonto at home, but Crave’s ComicBookMovie website Tuesday reported that Johnny Depp may be talking with Marvel about playing Dr. Stephen Strange for the giant Phase 3 movie, Doctor Strange.
The report cites two other reports, but it was enough to get the rumor mill a-chugging. Depp still has the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie and sequel to Alice in Wonderland ahead of him, so no telling whether the timing will work out to Marvel’s satisfaction. We suppose it doesn’t bear mentioning that Disney owns Marvel, but does this feel to anyone else like every mouse-owned property gets to pass around Depp like so much (drug reference deleted) at a Hollywood party?
