Joss Whedon may be closing in on an actress to play Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Crave’s Collider website reported Wednesday Elizabeth Olsen may be the frontrunner to play Scarlet Witch. Olsen is part of the upcoming films Godzilla and Oldboy.
Olsen’s taken on perceived frontrunner status after the actress that everyone previously was slotted for the role — Hanna star Saoirse Ronan — may have passed on Wanda. Of course, no one except the execs at Marvel know anything for sure, so at the end of the day, it’s all just rampant speculation anyway.
But it’s fun speculation…so let’s the speculation continue!
Avengers: Age of Ultron is scheduled for release May 1, 2015.
