James Norton is joining two major stars as a host for SNL U.K. Season 2. The actor will lead one of the three October episodes. Cynthia Erivo and Danny Dyer will also host during the upcoming run.
James Norton joins two other big-name stars confirmed to host SNL U.K. this October
Norton will host SNL U.K. on October 17, according to Variety. The House of the Dragon actor will be joined by The Streets as musical guests. Danny Dyer will host the October 10 episode before Norton takes over. The Rivals star will welcome Sasha Keable as the musical guest.
Cynthia Erivo will then host on October 24. Blossoms will perform during her episode, completing the October hosting lineup. The three hosts will appear during the second season of SNL UK. Season 2 began with Jeff Goldblum hosting alongside musical guest CMAT.
The following episodes featured Jamie Demetriou and Amelia Dimoldenberg. Demetriou hosted with Royal Blood as his musical guest. Dimoldenberg then welcomed Rachel Chinouriri.
The second season received an expanded episode order compared with its predecessor. SNL UK Season 2 was renewed for 12 episodes, four more than Season 1.
The season will air in two parts, with three additional episodes coming in October. Six more episodes are planned for early 2027. Exact dates for those episodes have not been announced.
The returning cast includes all 11 original performers from the first season. The lineup also gained comedian Freddie Meredith as a new cast member.
The series includes performers such as Ayoade Bamgboye, Celeste Dring, Larry Dean, and Paddy Young. Emma-Sidi, Ania Magliano, and Jack Shep are also returning.
SNL UK is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s U.K. team and Broadway Video. The show airs through Sky and NOW, with Lorne Michaels serving as executive producer.
Norton’s October appearance adds another major television credit to his growing profile. His hosting slot will also continue the show’s expanded second-season lineup.
