Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds’ Lives Are Difficult After Baldoni Drama, Claims ‘Insider’

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are dealing with unexpected turns amid their ongoing legal controversy with Justin Baldoni. Insiders exclusively spoke to Us Weekly, claiming the Hollywood couple did not prepare for the legal battle to escalate with such intensity. According to emerging details about the bitter dispute, Lively and Reynolds’ personal lives have turned “upside down.”

Blake Lively wishes if people would wait before making judgements, claims ‘insider’

Fresh reports from Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ controversy with Justin Baldoni suggest that the legal war has only begun. What started as Lively’s sexual harassment allegations against her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director in December has spiraled into a major courtroom drama, because Baldoni is not holding back. He countersued Lively and Reynolds, seeking $400 million for defamation.

Us Weekly reported that the celebrity couple was “not expecting Baldoni to fight back so hard,” indicating they underestimated Baldoni’s aggressive legal strategy. Per the magazine’s sources, the stress of the lawsuit deeply affected Lively and Reynolds’ household. “It’s been really hard for Blake and Ryan,” the source said, adding, “They’re trying to be positive and support each other.”

Continuing the insider’s comments, Us Weekly reported, “There are good days and bad days for both of them.” Another insider claimed, “They’ve had their lives turned upside down.” Moreover, Lively wished people “would wait and see how things pan out in court before making judgments.” Lively detailed in an amended complaint that the case has triggered “grief, fear, trauma, and extreme anxiety.” The complaint also noted that the lawsuit has affected the couple’s young children—James, Inez, Betty, and Olin.

Reynolds, who was initially not a part of the lawsuit, was suddenly in its middle. Variety reported he filed a motion to dismiss Baldoni’s case on March 18. He asserted that calling someone a “predator” was a constitutionally protected opinion. Reynolds argued that in contrast to Baldoni’s defamatory allegations, the “Jane the Virgin” actor was suing him over “hurt feelings.”

Among other things, the motion also maintained that “Mr. Reynolds has a First Amendment right to hold Mr. Baldoni — or any man who Mr. Reynolds believes sexually harassed his wife — in ‘deep disdain.’” Reynolds and Lively have kept a low profile but stay committed to fighting Baldoni’s claims. However, as an insider summarised the situation to Us Weekly, the dispute has “completely consumed their lives.” With a trial date set for March 2026, the legal drama between the three celebrities is far from over.
