Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s custody battle rumors over their kids intensified after the North West song controversy. A TMZ report noted that Kardashian is contemplating seeking the court’s approval in stripping the rapper, who now goes by Ye, of his joint legal custody of their four children — North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5.
The custody battle rumors heated up after West released a song, featuring North without the reality star’s approval. The track also features a phone conversation between him and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West may custody terms may change after North’s song drama
According to TMZ, Kim Kardashian might tweak custody terms with Kanye West after the latest legal battle about the North West song controversy. The former couple, currently sharing the custody of their four kids, found themselves amid more legal conflict after Friday’s mediation which the dad failed to attend. Kardashian, who was present with her lawyer and West’s lawyer, reached an agreement with him that he would not release the track titled, “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine.”
Nevertheless, the rapper dropped the track on X (formerly Twitter) the following day without his ex-wife’s approval. It reportedly features their eldest kid, North, rapping and also includes a phone conversation between him and Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is now facing sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Kardashian had been against West releasing the song and since their divorce settlement allows them equal decision-making, it appeared that the artist refused to follow their agreement.
Then, to further drag the custody battle with Kim Kardashian, Kanye West made cryptic posts on X. In one such post, he wrote, “THE MAN MAKES THE FINAL DECISION.” The 47-year-old also shared a since-deleted post of an intense text conversation between him and Kardashian, as per Page Six. In the messages, the latter made it plain she did not want their daughter involved with Diddy.
A source close to the SKIMS founder told the outlet that she is prioritizing the “well-being and safety of her children and to protect them from being around Kanye’s controversial behavior.”
