On February 13, Selena Gomez announced her upcoming album with fiancée Benny Blanco on Instagram. The album, “I Said I Love You First,” is set to release on March 21 and has already sparked interest among fans and critics. To add to the excitement, Benny Blanco took to the social media platform on Monday, sharing a post featuring his pop star fiancée and the “I Love You, I Am Sorry” singer.
The video post started with Blanco opening the door to a room, revealing Gomez and Abrams inaudibly chatting together on the bed. Upon spotting them, Blanco asked, “What are you guys doing here?” prompting a little wave from Abrams. On the other hand, Selena reacted with a playfully stern look. However, the video ended without either of the two singers answering Blanco’s question.
The video went viral among fans as they assumed a collaboration was on the horizon. As such, they took to the comment section to express their ecstasy. One of the fans confidently wrote, “The combination of their vocals with Benny as producer. WE’RE GETTING THE COLLABORATION OF THE YEAR.”
Further adding fuel to the speculative collab, Gomez’s longtime producer Justin Tranner commented under the post. He re-shared it on his Instagram story, tagging Gomez, Blanco, and Abrams with a “curious eyes” emoji.
Besides opening for Taylor Swift’s “The Eras” world tour, Abrams released a Grammy-nominated track called “Us” featuring her friend and mentor Taylor Swift in 2024. Gomez and Swift have repeatedly flaunted their friendship since the 2010s while Abrams has previously collaborated with Blanco on “Unlearn.” With multiple mutual connections, a music project between the three artists is highly anticipated.
