Kim Kardashian Prays for Those Affected by LA Wildfires on Instagram

Kim Kardashian has penned a touching note as she continues to pray for those affected by the LA fire. While firefighters are making progress in containing the multiple wildfires, Southern California continues to live the horror after the catastrophe took away the homes and livelihoods of many. Amid the challenging times, several people, including Kardashian, have come forward to express their heartbreak for those going through the losses.

Kim Kardashian writes about LA fires: ‘My heart breaks for my city’

Kim Kardashian took to her Instagram to write about the LA fire. The entrepreneur shared a series of photos from the region amid the catastrophe, with one showing smoke hovering over the hills. Kardashian began her post by heartfeltly writing that she loves Los Angeles and that her “heart breaks” for her city. Kardashian continued, “Continuing to pray for all of those affected and so grateful for those fighting hard to protect and save this city.” The carousel included a photo of several firefighters battling the ravaging wildfires. Kardashian also shared a shot showing the major destruction caused in the region. 

Recently, Kardashian demanded higher pay for incarcerated firefighters working to contain the flames across Los Angeles County. The mom of four shared a series of Instagram Stories to bring the issue to the light. Kardashian urged California Governor Gavin Newsom to increase the wages of these individuals from “$1/ hour” to a rate that would honor “a human being risking their life to save our lives and homes.” Besides paying tribute to those working on the frontline, the SKIMS founder has also donated to the Los Angeles Fire Department, reported HELLO! Magazine

Meanwhile, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection continues to share the status of the multiple wildfires in Los Angeles County. The Palisades Fire stands at 21% containment and the Eaton Fire at 45% after jumping to 23,713 and 14,117 acres, respectively. On the other hand, the Hurst Fire is 98% contained after burning 799 acres.
