Halle Berry shares video update about what she is doing to help LA residents during a difficult time
On Monday, Halle Berry took to Instagram to share a video update about how she is helping LA residents amid the destructive wildfires. Along with a +COOP employee and designer Todd Nickey of Nickey Kehoe, the actor urged displaced families to come to the temporary donation center set up by +COOP and get essential items, including clothes, toys, and more.
The trio revealed that the center had everything one might need for women, men, and kids. They intended to make lives a little easier for families who have lost almost everything due to the LA fires. Berry further encouraged people affected by the fires to send someone to collect if they couldn’t visit in person. The team revealed that they could either reach out to the companies associated with the donation or send Berry a DM to ensure they get all they need.
They also partnered with Uber to deliver items at home. While recounting the “unimaginable” tragedy, Berry expressed hope in coming together as a community. According to the actor, the initiative is put in place “to ensure displaced families have the resources they need during this unprecedented time.”
Last week, Halle Berry revealed that she packed her “entire closet” to donate clothes and other essential items to the center. In collaboration with fellow actor Sharon Stone, the star offered her help while giving her fans a glimpse of the community’s generous donations amid the brutal LA fires.
