Jamie Lee Curtis Confirms Her LA Home Is Safe After ‘Conflicting Reports’

Jamie Lee Curtis has confirmed that her LA home is safe after “conflicting reports” surfaced amid the wildfires. The firestorms across Los Angeles County have caused major destruction and reduced several residents’ homes to rubble. Amid the catastrophe, celebrities have taken to social media to share updates, while several others also reported heartbreaking losses. Meanwhile, Curtis has penned a post to confirm the safety of her property. 

Jamie Lee Curtis confirms safety of her LA Home in new update

Jamie Lee Curtis wrote a note in an Instagram post to confirm that her LA property remained safe from the wildfires in the region. The actor noted she is aware “there are conflicting reports” that she lost her home. However, Curtis revealed that she “did not.” The actor wrote, “Obviously, it was touch and go and brave neighbors who refused to evacuate.” She continued to thank the LAFD who “managed to save” their canyon and home. 

Curtis further penned, “The concentric circles of grief and loss are going to touch all who live in our beloved City of Angels and the surrounding areas that were devastated by the fires.” The film producer also revealed that the first half of their donations have gone out to the LAFD Foundation, World Central Kitchen, Red Cross Los Angeles Region, LA Regional Food Bank, and California Community Foundation.

Before ending the post, she thanked the firefighters for their hard work. Besides using the platform to share information about sources of support, Curtis, along with her family, has made a $1 million donation towards fire relief efforts. 

The star recently appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and expressed her heartbreak over the “awful situation” in Southern California. Curtis also noted that she was “obviously going to go home first thing” the next day to be with her family and “try to help” her friends. The actor also urged people to do what they can to offer support amid the catastrophe.
