Doja Cat took to her Instagram to announce she has teamed up with the American Red Cross and Pini, a fashion designer and illustrator, to raise money for the California fire victims. The rapper captioned the post, “Holding my state with love.” In another post, the 29-year-old continued to share a detailed look at the stunning merch collection, which includes hoodies and tees.
Cat noted in the caption of the Instagram post, “100% of proceeds go to American Red Cross to support the people of California affected by the wildfires.” Some of the collection pieces feature an illustration of the singer embracing the map of the state. Another includes just the map with a little red heart in place of Los Angeles. The theme continues on the rest of the merch with similar yet different designs. The pieces come in various colors, including baby blue, black, navy blue, and grey.
Doja Cat’s merch announcement was met with appreciation as fans praised her efforts to support the victims of the wildfires. As per the latest updates, firefighters have made progress and are continuing to battle the blazes across Los Angeles County. However, that can be hampered by strong winds making a return, reported CNN.
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection has noted the Palisades Fire stands at 14% containment after jumping to 23,713 acres. On the other hand, the Eaton Fire is 33% contained after burning 14,117 acres.
