Mandy Moore Shares ‘Miraculous’ Update on House Amidst LA Fire

On January 9, Mandy Moore took to Instagram to provide an update on her home after evacuation due to the Los Angeles fire. She was happy to note that although her house was not livable, at least the main part of the property was “miraculously” standing strong. However, her family still suffered some losses as her husband lost his entire music studio to the fire.

Mandy Moore shares update on house alongside photos of destruction caused by LA fire

Mandy Moore recently shared some tragic after photos of her Altadena house on Instagram, with the LA fire having reduced large parts of it to ashes. The singer evacuated her home earlier this week, later returning to check it on Thursday. She and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, went to check on their property. The couple was left pleasantly surprised, as the main part of it was “still standing.”

The star noted it was nothing short of a miracle. She clarified that her home was “not livable” by any means. However, it was “mostly intact,” which is a blessing as many had their entire house burned to the ground. There were still some notable damages, as Moore and Goldsmith lost their garage and back house to the fire.

The singer touched upon how everyone she knows has lost pretty much everything due to the wildfires. She also opened up about “feeling weird survivors guilt” after witnessing a major chunk of her home surviving the fire. Mandy Moore also vowed to help her community rebuild from the LA fire. She noted that she will provide support to the residents whenever she can.

In other news, the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner recently divulged that there have been at least 10 fire-related deaths. According to Fox News, five of those were caused by the Eaton fire and two more were from the Palisades Fire. However, the cause of death of the other three is still unclear. They are pending identification, which might take several weeks, as traditional means of identification might not be available for these cases.
