Taylor Swift’s Dramatic Red Carpet Looks of 2024 in Photos

It’s no secret Taylor Swift holds a penchant for unfurling spectacles on the red carpet, and photos from some of her 2024 looks substantiate the same. Truly a turning point in her career, the year proved consequential for Swift in terms of fashion, her music career, and the record-breaking Eras Tour. Not only that but she also stepped up her social game and attested to be a supportive WAG for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, making back-to-back match day appearances. With the year drawing to a close, let’s look back at some of her more dramatic red carpet looks and how these impacted the fashion scene.

Taylor Swift nailed dramatic looks for her 2024 red carpet appearances

Photos from the event proved Taylor Swift started the year right by donning the most glamorous Gucci dress to the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet. She later went on to exhibit some of her more dramatic looks, including the one-of-a-kind strapless Schiaparelli gown with the highest possible thigh slit at the Grammys red carpet. More recently, Swift wore the iconic Tartan Dior outfit that was edgy in a lot of ways to the MTV VMAs red carpet Carpet. While these appearances particularly stood out, the singer’s notable looks extended beyond the red carpet, such as her magnificent Eras Tour costumes and game day fits.

Taylor Swift stuns in Gucci at 2024 Golden Globe Awards

Red carpet photos from Golden Globes 2024 showed that Taylor Swift nailed the green aesthetic long before the Charli XCX-inspired “Brat” summer trend took social media by a whirlwind. One of her first remarkable looks of the year, she attended the awards ceremony wearing a custom sparkling Gucci gown. Swift then paired the outfit — a creation of Sabato de Sarno — with matching Christian Louboutin pumps, and statement jewelry from De Beers jewelry, reported WWD. In addition, she wore her hair down with her flawless bangs covering the entirety of her forehead.

Taylor Swift’s strapless Schiaparelli dress at 2024 Grammys is all about the drama

In February, the singer pulled off another custom look, and this time it was a strapless Schiaparelli gown for the Grammys red carpet. Her outfit had a corset-style bodice, intricate draping, and an even more dramatic thigh-high slit. According to WWD, this white attire, paired with black add-ons, was a reputation-coded appearance by Swift’s longtime stylist, Joseph Cassell Falconer, who also masterminded her Eras Tour outfits. For this look, she styled contrasting accessories, such as black peep-toe heels, gloves, and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry along with a bold red lipstick.

Taylor Swift opts for a playful Dior dress for 2024 MTV VMAs

Later, in September, Taylor Swift’s red carpet photos from the 2024 MTV VMAs exhibited a playful Dior dress in another exceptional look. WWD stated that the checkered tartan corset was from the luxury fashion house’s Resort 2025 collection, incorporating plaids and checks to present an iconic ensemble. Swift styled it with velvet shorts, thigh-high boots, and striking fingerless gloves, and accessorized using Lorraine Schwartz’s 30-carat yellow diamond and black jade earrings. Again, Falconer, who has worked with the Grammy winner for over a decade, curated the look.

A new report from the news journal announced that Swift also generated multi-hundred million dollars in media impact value through these outfits. A Launchmetrics data analysis determined her to be the top red carpet female celebrity of the year primarily owing to her award show appearances. Despite touring for most of 2024, she made time for awards ceremony appearances wearing outfits from luxury fashion brands and generating $319.2 million. Her Grammys gown generated $6.8 million for Schiaparelli while Versace made $6.3 million from media exposure her tour fits.

With the award season officially afoot, fans also look forward to how Taylor Swift contributes to the fashion scene in the new year.
