Sabrina Carpenter’s singing skills as a kid impressed fans on Instagram

Sabrina Carpenter may have just received eight Grammy nominations but her singing skills have remained unmatched since the early days. Her touching throwback video proved she deserved every bit of recognition received in the last couple of years and commenters are not holding back from expressing their similar sentiments out loud. Ahead of Christmas, the 25-year-old posted what appeared to be more than a decade-old footage of her singing Carrie Underwood’s “I Ain’t in Checotah Anymore,” and there’s something so magical about it.

In the video, a much younger Carpenter, likely in her pre-teens, passionately and effortlessly sang the song with an angel-like voice. She donned her long blonde locks, which seemingly remain unchanged to this day, and looked directly at the camera during the performance. The actor also appeared to be rocking the same charm and confidence that fans very recently witnessed during her “Short n’ Sweet” tour. The caption said, “leaving this side bang in 2024.”

Commenters promptly dropped wholesome remarks, praising Sabrina Carpenter’s impressive skills in the throwback Instagram video. One user joked that “she is working late since 1999,” while another wrote, “Someone tell her she’s grammy nominated,” referring to her right nods. Several others commented that she was literally born a “star” and called her an “icon.” One individual even pointed out how the musician still has “the SAME facial expressions.”

The singer just completed her sold out U.S. leg of her “Short n’ Sweet” Tour and will soon head to Europe for the next leg.
