HBO Teases Next Two Episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6

Game of Thrones season 6 is here! And while HBO won’t be sending out preview screeners this year, that doesn’t mean that we won’t have any idea about what’s coming on the show.

HBO has released the episode descriptions for the next two episodes of Game of Thrones, and as noted by The Hollywood Reporter, they appear to be intentionally echoing the names of episodes from previous seasons.

“Home” Season 6, Episode 2:

“Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) trains with the Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow). In King’s Landing, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) advises Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman). Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) demands good news, but has to make his own. At Castle Black, the Night’s Watch stands behind Thorne (Owen Teale). Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) proposes a plan, and Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide) entertains other proposals.”

“Oathbreaker” Season 6, Episode 3:

“Meereen’s missing-in-action queen Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) meets her future. Bran meets the past. Tommen confronts the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce). Arya (Maisie Williams) trains to be No One. Varys (Conleth Hill) finds an answer. Ramsay gets a gift.”

“Home” appears to be a callback to season 5’s “Hardhome” episode that depicted a stunning attack by the White Walkers and their army of the undead. “Oathbreaker” is definitely the opposite of season 4’s “Oathkeeper,” which suggests that Brienne may have a prominent role in that episode. THR also noted that the Night’s King, the leader of the White Walker made his first appearance at the end of “Oathkeeper.”
