A 50-year-old Aussie mum has outdone pretty much everyone at Sydney’s Defqon.1 electronic music festival, and has been filmed stealing the show with her kick-ass cane-holding dance moves and festival-ready attire.
Video of Deqon.1’s dancing mum (below) was captured by festival-goer Natasha Rah, whose clip has racked up almost one million views since Saturday, 19th September.
As Daily Mail Australia reports, the dancing mum is Ms Lynne Cole, whose floppy white hat and purple tie-dyed shirt have made her a viral star.
“I am 50-years-old, and I dress age related,” says Ms Cole, who attended the festival with her 23-year-old twins.
“Defqon was a family day out with my son and daughter,” Ms Cole says, adding that she now feels like she has “thousands of sons and daughters”.
“I do love the music, weird I know, but that’s how it is, you like what you like,” Ms Cole says. “I think if you love hard style/hard core, you love it no matter the age. You’re never too old or too young. You’re in it for the music.”
As Music Feeds reports, Sydney’s Defqon.1 event also saw the death of a 26-year-old NSW man, and the hospitalisation of eight other attendees. Police have said the festival is not to blame for the death or the 46 drug arrests made at the event.
