Look, we love Hack as much as the next millennial or Gen Yer who craves daily access to alternative viewpoints on current events and social issues, OK? But that doesn’t mean we can’t recognise (and have an appreciative LOL) at good satire when we see it.
And this, friends, is goooooooooooooood satire.
The triple j current affairs program has been lampooned wittily and hilariously by a newly-spawned Twitter account, dubbed @jjjHack, which has unfurled a series of on-point Tweets about what you might expect on upcoming segments of the show, should it disappear up its own ultra-progressive, alternative rectum.
For instance: “Tonight we meet Australia’s least homophobic woman, Alicia Radburn, who has a rainbow filter tattooed on her face”. Or, if that doesn’t shove enough j in your journalism, then how’s about: “Do you want to hear your voice on the airwaves? We’re looking for former Olympians who thought Jurassic World was anti-halal”.
We’re sorry Tom Tilley, we still think you’re swell. Never change.
