We’ve pretty much given up on Smashing Pumpkins as a creative entity, and frontman Billy Corgan has captured the essence of our fatigue on a rollercoaster at Disneyland in California.
Corgan’s band is kicking off on a joint tour with Marilyn Manson, but despite all the collaborative touring rage the caged rat was enjoying a a day off at the theme park on Thursday (July 23).
Billy Corgan recently compared listening to other people’s music to a kid-no-more trip to Disneyland. He told Loudwire: “It’s part of the problem of being a songwriter. Once you go there you hear every song from the point of view of how the songwriter that you’re listening to is engaging you”.
“It’s a little bit like going to Disneyland and looking at all of the rides from the perspective of the construction as opposed to joy.”
