It looks like the Big N has deemed the Brazilian video game market unworthy of continued support in lieu of ultra-high import tariffs.
The Wii U launched at about double the MSRP suggested by Nintendo; it’s putting a huge strain on everyone, from top to bottom, as far as that region in South America is concerned. Oh, and games cost an average of eighty dollars.
This is, naturally, unacceptable and brings very little profit while sucking the money out of the wallets of everyone who wants to hop on the Nintendo bandwagon over in Brazil. That’s not fair to anyone, so Nintendo is apparently done. If I were living in that country, I’d be a little miffed, but I would begrudgingly understand.
